Welcome to Gila River Transit!

We’ve provided deviated fixed-route service to the Gila River Indian Community since 2016. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) funds Gila River Transit with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) 5311 Rural Transit Program funds. We also receive FTA 5311 Tribal Transit Formula funds.

There is no fare to ride. All buses have air conditioning and heat for your comfort. All buses are wheelchair accessible. Racks on the front of the bus can hold up to two bicycles. 

Overhead and curbside signs on the bus display the route name. To request a ride up to three quarters of a mile from a regular route, please call us at least two hours, and up to one day, in advance.
